Introduction

Hi everyone, I am a practicing singer/songwriter, 3-d mixed media constructionist, and jewelry designer. I also facilitate Artist's Way Workshops in the South Bay. Check out my Artist's Way South Bay Meet Up for more info. See you 6/23 at MOCA.

What kind of Art Meetup events would you like to see us facilitate? (ex. museum outings - art openings - workshops - etc.)

I am going on a docent lead tour of "Metro Art" tomorrow with people who participated in my last workshop, I love outings like this. I would also like to see more "open studios" sort of like an open mic, but including visual artist's work as well.

What do you feel is missing from the "Art World"?

More of it in the South Bay area of Los Angeles :(

Which artist(s) inspire you?

I am terrible with names...but I was really inspired by LACMA's "beyond geometry" show and the artist's there as well as various shows I have seen around the country. I love large installations.

Are you an artist? If so, what type of art do you create?

I am an artist. I write music, am learning to play guitar, sing, create mix media three dimensional pieces and design jewelry.

Which part of the "art world" interests you? (ex. museums, contemporary art, sculptures, antiques, jewelry, etc.)

Every part of the art world interests me, but I am most inspired by folk/acoustic rock music, 3-dimensional art, color, texture, and patterns and anything that moves me viscerally.
